Chief of TN Cong criticizes RN Ravi's nomination as TN Governor

K.S., President of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC), has reacted against the appointment of R.N. Alagiri has reacted against R.N. Ravi is the new Governor in the state.

According to him, the appointment is'suspicious' because it's similar to what Kiran Bedi did in Puducherry when he was Lt. The Union government plans to cause trouble in Tamil Nadu using Ravi, according to Governor.

K.S. K.S. His posting seems to be part of a larger agenda by the Union government. Congress will protest against any action that he takes in the interests of Tamil Nadu's people. R.N. Ravi IPS (Rtd), is a former Joint director of the Intelligence Bureau, and has been a trusted official of the Modi Government. He was the mediator for peace negotiations with Naga insurgent leaders including the NSCIN (Muwiah) faction and has been serving the Governor of Nagaland.

The DMK and its allies have raised concerns about Ravi's sudden departure while he serves as Interlocutor and Governor of Nagaland. M.K., the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, welcomed Ravi's appointment as Governor of Tamil Nadu. Stalin supported the appointment of Ravi to Tamil Nadu Governor, but Alagiri opposed it.

Alagiri stated that the BJP had suffered a heavy defeat in Tamil Nadu, and that they would make some mischief in those states where they have lost badly. While we aren't sure, I doubt Ravi was being objective in his appointment as Tamil Nadu Governor. He stated that the DMK government was transparent and doubted Modi's intentions in posting Ravi.

According to the Congress leader, the party would not permit the Tamil Nadu Governor to interfere in the Tamil Nadu government's functioning just as Kiran Bedi did for Puducherry.
