Maruti Suzuki increases 1.9 % prices on select models

Maruti Suzuki India announced Monday that it will increase the price of selected models immediately.

The company filed a regulatory statement claiming that the company was able to attribute the decision to an increase in input cost.

It stated that the price of select models will be increasing due to an increase in input costs.

For select models, the weighted average price rise in ex-showroom prices (Delhi), is 1.9 percent.

The company stated that the increase in input costs had adversely affected the vehicles' cost over the previous year, as reported by August 30.

"It has been imperative to pass some of the extra cost to customers through a price increase. It stated that the price increase was planned for all models by September 2021.
