In a devastating turn of events, 175 sheep owned by Naresh Pal from Bhaksa village in Gorakhpur district have tragically passed away after receiving deworming medication. Naresh Pal, who regularly deworms his sheep, obtained the medication from a veterinary hospital in Sant Kabir Nagar as per his usual practice.

Misadministration of Medication Leads to Fatal Consequences

Naresh Pal reported that this time he was given a different medication by the doctor at the veterinary hospital. Upon returning home, he administered the medication to approximately 200 sheep. Unfortunately, within two to three hours, the animals began experiencing severe adverse reactions, resulting in their untimely deaths. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Naresh Pal promptly informed the local police authorities, and the block chief, Shashi Pratap Singh, arrived at the scene. The sub-divisional magistrate was also notified about the incident.
